How do I add figures to my publications?

At the moment, it is only possible to add figures to Articles and Conference papers you've added on ResearchGate. In the future, it will also be possible for all other publication types.

There are different ways to add figures to your articles depending on whether they already have figures or not.

If your article doesn't have any figures:

1. Go to the article you wish to add figures to
2. Underneath the title, you'll find a box telling you if various elements are missing from your publication
3. Click on the icon for Figures
4. Click the Upload figures button
5. Find and select the file you would like to add to your article
6. Add a caption with a short explanation (minimum 31 characters) of the figure you just added, then click Done
7. You will now see a preview of your figure and caption.
8. If you wish to add more figures, simply click Upload Figures in the top left-hand corner of the box
9. Once you are done adding figures, simply click the X icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

We accept the following media file formats: *.jpg, *.gif, *.png, *.tiff, and *.bmp.

If your article already has figures added and you would like to add more:

1. Click on any figure
2. Click the Upload Figures button that appears on the top left-hand side
3. Find and select the file you would like to add as a figure
4. Add a caption with a short explanation of the figure you just added, then click Done
5. You will now see a preview of your figure and caption
6. If you wish to add more figures, simply click Upload Figures again
7. If you have no more figures to add, simply click the icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

We accept the following media file formats: *.jpg, *.gif, *.png, *.tiff, and *.bmp.

How do I change, edit, or delete figures that have already been added to my articles?

1. Go to the article which contains the figures you want to edit
2. Click on the figure you want to edit
3. Click the blue edit icon in the shape of a pencil. You can find it next to the blue Like button
4. If you want to replace the figure, click Replace Image and select the file you want to replace it with. Then click Done
