Why is my publication already listed on ResearchGate?

ResearchGate’s extensive publication database is compiled using publicly available metadata from other literature databases, including PubMed, NASA, CiteSeer, and other repositories that contain publications with the Creative Commons license. It is also contributed to by ResearchGate members.

If a full-text version of your publication is available on ResearchGate, it will usually have been uploaded by one of your co-authors. In some cases we also provide a link to an external source where the full-text has already been made publicly available.
